Short Description
What a beautiful community it is when its members collaborate to beautify it! Especially that there are a lot of works people may avoid on the pretext that they are not of their responsibilities; so the Messenger of Allah encouraged us to this societal association and announced plentiful reward from Allah so that no Muslim saddle others with the responsibility, rather every single Muslim should seek doing the good in the community in order to attain the reward from Allah, and without waiting for a similar contribution from others.
Among these important actions is the sunnah of removing harms from roads as the Messenger of Allah declared it as charity. The Messenger of Allah said: (Every day the sun rises charity (Sadaqah) is due on every joint of a person: you administer justice between two men is a charity; and assisting a man to mount his beast, or helping him load his luggage on it is a charity; and a good word is a charity; and every step that you take (towards the mosque) for Salat (prayer) is a charity and removing harmful things from the road is a charity".)
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: (While a man was walking, he saw a thorny branch on the road, so he removed it and Allah appreciated his action and forgave him.)
Merely raising the forks of the road was the cause of God's forgiveness for the slave, and the practical application of this is very easy; where enough to lift a stone from the road, or to be involved with neighbors in cleaning the roads, or to fill a hole causes harm to people and cars, or just to lift papers from roads and put it in the trash. It goes without saying that if we have not been able to do any of that, then, at least, we should refrain from throwing harms on roads and teach our children this.
